Gundlach on CNBC

Why is Jeffrey Gundlach called The Bond King?

Jeffrey Gundlach is the CEO of DoubleLine Capital, which manages several of the closed-end investment funds I invest in.

I invest in DoubleLine Income Solutions Fund (DSL), Doubleline Opportunistic Credit Fund (DBL), and RiverNorth/DoubleLine Strategic Opportunity Fund (OPP). All three funds are currently profitable for me. Together, they make up around 12% of my portfolio and return an average of 10.3%. They pay distributions monthly. I’m happy with that portfolio weighting and that return.

Jeffrey Gundlach is known as “The Bond King” due to his expertise in fixed-income investing and his successful track record managing bond portfolios. He is the CEO of DoubleLine Capital, a Los Angeles-based investment firm that specializes in fixed-income strategies. Gundlach has a long history of outperforming the market with his bond investments, and he is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the bond market.

Gundlach’s expertise in fixed-income investing and his ability to generate strong returns for his clients have earned him a reputation as one of the most successful bond managers in the industry. He is known for his unique approach to investing and his ability to make informed decisions based on his analysis of market conditions and economic trends.

In addition to managing bond portfolios, Gundlach is also known for his insights and commentary on the financial markets and the economy. He frequently gives presentations and interviews on these topics, and his opinions are often sought by investors and financial analysts.

Every few months, DoubleLine publishes a lengthy market review on its YouTube Channel, and I always watch each video with intense interest. Gundlach provides tons of charts showing the state of the economy, stock and bond markets. And it’s interesting to see how his mind works when trying to see how things are playing out.
