It’s Going to be Tough to Watch

I’m not celebrating the market going down.

This type of drop still hurts. I’m still mostly invested in the market, and if I look at the amount my portfolio is down just today, it hurts.

I’m thankful I went to more cash a couple of days ago. #Gratitude

I think the market still has a way to fall from here. And it’s going to hurt.

But I am reminded that you can’t time the market (even though I do it pretty well). If I sold all my stocks earlier this week, I’d miss the downside, but I’d also likely miss the run-up back up. You have to get both exit and reentry calls right to declare victory, and I have no confidence in that.
